Snowy day, Stromness, Orkney
A print from a watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt
This is a view of Stromness taken from where the ferry the Hamnavoe docks. It was a very cold clear day. You can see The Hoy Hills in the background behind the town. There is also a fishing boat at the pier. Stromness is the second biggest town in Orkney and one of its lovely features are the narrow windy streets which take you through the town. Many of the towns houses sit along the shoreline and have their own private piers.
