'Heather colours at The Ring of Brodgar'
I am very pleased to announce that The Grampian Hospitals Art Trust has purchased my recent original mixed media painting of Orkneys famous stone circle surrounded by purple heather. The trust is supported by private donations and has a large collection of Scottish art including many well known artists such as Sylvia Wishart and Kate Downie and I am beyond chuffed to be hanging amongst the many beautiful paintings which adorn Aberdeen Royal Infirmary corridors and rooms. Having personally spent time at the hospital myself and benefited from perusing the collection I know first hand how art benefits patients when they are sick and away from home and I hope my 'Orkney' painting will do just that for the many Orcadians who have to spend time at the ARI.
