Original painting framed/Flock of seagulls hidden amongst the dark blue clouds

An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue

The background for this original was an old vintage b/w photographic print of gulls from around about 1920. You can just see small pieces of the original print in the background of the painting. I then gradually worked over the print adding in more of my own photo collage of gulls along with acrylic paint and cold wax. Lastly a we bit of text was laid down on the completed painting. Signed and dated on the back of the painting.

Framed with a grey wood moulding width 30mm, ivory mount width 60mm, overall size glazed, 620X510mm.
