Original painting framed/Birsay Vibes

An original mixed media painting by Jane Glue

This mixed media painting has been created with acrylic paint, collage and inks painted on to a thick canvas board. This view looking across from the Birsay shoreline towards Marwick head is one of my all time favourite places to visit and I really liked the bright colours on this summers day. I have used the a waterey layer of acrylic paint for the sea and sky in the 'wet on wet' technique that I often use in my watercolour paintings.

The canvas board has been mounted on to a white board back and the picture is framed in a white wood moulding 30X30X30mm. There is no glass over the image but the painting has a layer of varnish to protect it so you can feel the gorgeous textures of the image. Overall size framed is 678X503mm.
