Orkney Artist Jane Glue biography

ORKNEY ARTIST JANE GLUE 

Born in Orkney 1958

Jane Glue studied at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen 1975-76 and Harrow School of Art, London from 1982-85, graduating with an HND in Art and Design/Illustration.

Jane then returned home to Orkney to work as a freelance illustrator and opening her own gallery in 1987 in Kirkwall, later moving to the village of Finstown until 2015.

Since 2019 Jane has worked from her studio at The Creative hub, Hatston, Kirkwall where she paints and run's her own website selling limited edition prints from over a 35 year career in art along with other products produced from her artwork and a selection of original paintings.

1986-Twelve full colour Illustrations for the children’s book ‘Sheldra’ by Theresa and John Hedges, based around the neolithic 'Tomb of the eagles' in South Ronaldsay, Orkney.
