Original mixed media painting/Rackwick Cliffs

An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This large mixed media painting is of Rackwick bay and the surrounding high cliffs on the island of Hoy on a rather rainy day in early May. I have painted this image using vintage collage papers and black indian ink  mixed with watercolour paint on to a heavy deckled edge watercolour paper. This helps to give the painting more depth and also gives a moody atmosphere.

The overall glazed and framed size is 640X640mm with the actual image being 410X410mm. The painting is mounted with a 65mm width ivory mount board and framed with a pine wood moulding 30X25mm.
