A limited edition print from a mixed media original painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This picture is one of a set of four especially painted for an exhibition at Barony Mill in Birsay, Orkney called 'Old Grain, New Eyes'. All the artists exhibiting were asked to produce work in response to this rare working mill which is full of history and atmosphere. 

This old metal weight from a set of large scales probably used for weighing flour lay covered in dust and flour on a windowsill inside the mill. I really liked the lines and shapes of the image which inspired me to paint this quite abstract image using a mixture of collage, inks and acrylic paint. I have also added in some old vintage collage of haystacks or 'stooks' in the upper right of the picture.

All prints are presented on Fuji Matt C-type paper.
