NEW! Limited edition print/ Horses at Barony Mill

A limited edition print from a mixed media original painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This picture is one of a set of four especially painted for an exhibition at Barony Mill in Birsay, Orkney called 'Old Grain, New Eyes'. All the artists exhibiting were asked to produce work in response to this rare working mill which is full of history and atmosphere. 

This mixed media image consists of collage made from an old photograph of working horses in the parish of Birsay mixed in with acrylic paints. The window is inside Barony Mill and hanging above are various items used in the past with working horses. I really wanted to convey the history and timelessness of the mill in this picture and although I have used quite bright colours, I have blended the colour to help create a feeling of atmosphere and timelessness.

All prints are presented on Fuji Matt C-type paper.
