A limited edition print from a mixed media original painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This picture is one of a set of four especially painted for an exhibition at Barony Mill in Birsay, Orkney called 'Old Grain, New Eyes'. All the artists exhibiting were asked to produce work in response to this rare working mill which is full of history and atmosphere. 

A very noticeable feature for me while visiting Barony Mill was the amount of flour covering the Mill workings including this large 'metal screw' which helped turn the mill wheel. The flour seemed like a layer of snow and mixed in with the shapes of oats behind I felt that these features made for a nice 'abstract' image which was originally painted in a mixture of collage, acrylics and charcoal.

All prints are presented on Fuji Matt C-type paper.
