Limited edition print/Skaill beach, Orkney

A limited edition print from a watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in three editions of 100 prints.

 This picture shows The Hole of Rowe in the cliff beyond the shoreline at Skaill where the neolithic village of Skara Brae sits on the coastline. I dropped salt into wet paint to create the glitter affect on the sea in this image. All of the middle area of the sea is actually blank paper with just a few dry brush strokes of colour to indicate the sea.
