Limited edition print/Sunset at Skaill loch, Orkney

A limited edition print from an original watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue in three editions of 100 print runs.

This old Orkney croft still stands on the edge of Skaill loch near the neolithic village of Skara Brae. Many years ago a lady called Mary Graham stayed in this house. She used to knit jumpers for my sister Judith Glue's shop and I remember they smelled of peat which she burned in her stove. Today it is one of just a few traditional Orkney cottages still with it's original flagstone roof intact.
