Limited edition print/Sunset over The Hoy Hills, Orkney

A limited edition print from a watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in two editions of 100 prints

 This is a very rich coloured sunset showing Stenness and Harray lochs with The Hoy Hills in the distance. I really like how the orange, red and yellow colours in this picture have blended together to  create the light and dark areas of this atmospheric sunset. This has been done by using the 'wet on wet' technique of dropping wet paint on to a damp paper and allowing the colours to merge together while still wet.
