Limited edition print/Dark Iris

A limited edition print from a watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in editions of 100 prints.

 I love the blue and purple colours of this dark coloured Iris. I used a watercolour technique called 'wet on wet' to create the dark blue background. The small white areas are actually the white of the watercolour paper as I don't use white paint when I paint with watercolours as it tends to make the colours a bit muddy.
