Original mixed media painting/ Seaweed Boulders

An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

These large boulders can be seen lying in the sand  on one of my favourite beaches, Rackwick beach in Hoy. When the tide is out the lime green coloured seaweed coats the stripey pink boulders revealing these wonderful patterns, textures and colours. This original painting on a heavy watercolour paper was created by using a mixture of watercolour, oil pastels and black indian ink.

The overall framed and glazed size is 383X342mm including a grey wood moulding 28mm wideX25mm deep. The image is size 235X190mm and it is mounted with a 45mm wide ivory coloured mount.
