Original painting/Abstract Shoreline

An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This beautifully textured painting was initially inspired by a visit to Rackwick bay on the island of  Hoy in Orkney. The overall size of this framed and glazed painting is 600X475mm including the 30X30mm white wood box moulding. This beautifully textured abstract image  is painted on to a heavy white board panel which has been mounted on to an ivory coloured mountboard. I have used gesso to create all the added textured marks and placed limpet shells found on the shoreline into the gesso. The picture has been painted with acrylics and I have added gold over some of the texture throughout the painting.
