Limited edition print/Poppies and columbines

A limited edition print from an original watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in three editions of 100 prints.

Red poppies and blue Columbines  are two of my favourite flowers. Both grow in my neighbours garden in Kirkwall and in many other gardens and more wilder areas of Orkney particularly in the roadside verges during the summer months. This image is very loose with only a few highlighted details, this approach allows me to make full use of the wonderful 'watery' qualities of the medium such as allowing the paint to 'bloom' throughout the image.
