Limited edition print/Rainstorm over the Hoy Hills, Orkney

A limited edition print from a watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in a run of 100 prints of each size.

THe original painting of this image with my favourite colours of indigo blue with a touch of indian yellow was painted using 'the wet on wet' watercolour technique of allowing the paint to mix while still wet. I have used a damp sponge to lift out colour from the sky to give a 'rainstorm' affect and I think it worked pretty well!
