Limited edition print/The old Leonards shop in Kirkwall

A limited edition print from a mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in editions of 100 prints.

This image was created using a mixture of watercolours and collage. 'Leonards' Toy and Newspaper shop was on the corner of Bridge street and Albert st in Kirkwall and was my favourite shop as a child! On the right of the picture you can see the back of an old blue Hydro electric van. The red and white 'Leonards' shop sign now resides in The Storehouse restuarant just around the corner and the red telephone box is still there! The original artwork for this print was commissioned by The Storehouse for thier guestroom called 'The Leonards'.
