NEW! Original mixed media painting/The Mill Wheel

An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This painting was inspired by a visit to Barony Mill in Birsay, one of the last working mills in the UK today. It was a beautiful sunny day and the mill was working along with the enormous mill wheeI positioned at the one end of the mill building. The sound and sight of the water falling off the wheel as it turned was fantastic! so I painted this picture. I have used a mixture of acrylic paint, collage and oil crayons to paint this picture which has been framed and glazed with a light ivory mount and grey wood moulding.

The overall framed size is 450X570mm, this includes a 55mm wide mount and 30mm wide moulding. The actual image size is 280X400mm.
