Women through the years

A limited edition print from an original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This image has been created by using a mixture of vintage photographs, found miniature vintage frames, papers and acrylic paint. The idea for this picture came from visiting an old remote derelict house near the Yesnaby cliffs. The furniture lay abandoned inside the livingroom and the walls were bare. A chair stood next to the piano and it made me think about the generations of women that had lived in the house over the years, who were they and what did they do?
