Original painting framed/Birsay Vibes

An original mixed media painting by Jane Glue

This mixed media painting has been created with acrylic paint, collage and inks painted on to a thick canvas board. This view looking across from the Birsay shoreline towards Marwick head is one of my all time favourite places to visit and I really liked the bright colours on this summers day. I have used the a waterey layer of acrylic paint for the sea and sky in the 'wet on wet' technique that I often use in my watercolour paintings.

The canvas board has been mounted on to a white board back and the picture is framed in a white wood box moulding 30X30X30mm. There is no glass over the image but the painting has a layer of varnish to protect it so you can feel the gorgeous textures of the image. It is titled and signed on the front of the painting. Overall size framed is 678X503mm.
