Old Grain, New Eyes Exhibition at Barony Mill

Old Grain, New Eyes Exhibition at Barony Mill

I am showing  four mixed media original paintings at Barony Mill in Birsay as part of a mixed exhibition of Orkney artists during the month of September 2026. Other artists include Sheila Fleet, Helen Galland, Ingrid Grieve, Liz Rickard, Catherine Ann, Rosalind Johansson are showing a mixture of paintings, fused glass and feltwork. All of us has created work inspired by the unique atmosphere of one of the last working mills grinding bere using water powered machinery in the UK. My four paintings are all mixed media using a mixture of collage, acrylics and ink.

'What I love about the exhibition is how different all the artists work is, and seeing it all sitting alongside the old machinery, stone and timber of the building feels very different from putting it in a conventional gallery. The mill itself is part of the experience' Katie Woolfrey, The Birsay Heritage Trust

All four of my paintings are also available as limited edition prints at
