Limited edition print/Blue house with terns, Stenness, Orkney

A limited edition print from a mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in editions of 100 prints.

This picture has the 'watch' stone in the foreground with a little blue wooden house on the left side. The Ring of Brodgar is in the distance. I have used lots of textures and a bit of artists licence! as I painted spirals on the standing stone. The terns arrive in the Spring and build their colony near the stones. In Orkney we call terns pickie terno's because if you go near their nests the birds swoop down and peck your head!
