Limited edition print/Wild cotton at Burnmouth, Rackwick

A limited edition print from a mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in two editions of 100 prints.

Rackwick in Hoy is full of wild cotton or flax during the summer months making the valley a lovely subject to paint. I like to look through the cotton into the distance as in this picture which shows Burnmouth cottage and the cliffs at Rackwick behind. During the 19th century there was a large flax industry in Orkney making hats and other items for expensive shops in London!
