Limited edition print/Dark Iris

A limited edition print from a watercolour painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue
printed on C-Type Matt paper in an edition of 100 prints.

 I love the blue and purple colours of this Iris. I used a watercolour technique called 'wet on wet' to create the dark background. The small white areas are actually the blank white watercolour paper. I don't normally use white paint when painting with watercolours as you can loose the paints transparency.
