Original painting/Old Mill ruin

An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This mixed media painting was initially painted in watercolours on location at a derelict Olive mill in the Spanish countryside. The image was finished at my studio with added pastels. I really liked the composition of looking through the arch of the building to the landscape in the distance. The shapes and lines above the arch represent Spanish ceramic roof tiles and the other lines and shapes were inspired by graffiti on the derelict building.

The overall size of this professionally framed and glazed painting is 432X532mm. The actual image size is 280X380mm and it is mounted in a cream 40mm mount. The frame is a pine wood box moulding 30X30mm and the image is signed and titled at the bottom of the painting.
