This picture shows part of The Ring of Brodgar against a background of The Hoy Hills covered in snow, a perfect subject! On this year the snow lay in the west mainland of Orkney for several weeks but strangely enough it was clear in Kirkwall and out to the east. For once I could drive out in the countryside safely to see the snow!
