This old Orkney croft still stands on the edge of Skaill loch near the neolithic village of Skara Brae. Many years ago a lady called Mary Graham used to stay there and you would often see her outside the house. She used to knit jumpers for my sister Judith Glue's shop and I remember they smelled of peat which she burned in her fire!
