 Dr John Rae was a famous Orkney explorer. He was born at the house of Clestrain in Stenness. This picture depicts the house with all its secret memories amongst within the image. I placed the house in a snow scene as I felt that tied in with his time exploring  the Arctic. Hidden in the snow are several items Jogn Rae would have taken with him on his travels such as his fiddle, clothes, snow shoes and his sledge.
