NEW! Original painting/Birsay Cliffs

A large framed  original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This view is of looking east down past the high cliffs of Birsay towards Rousay from The Brough of Birsay area. I really love this wild coastline with all its textures and colours of rock against the foaming blue's and greens of the sea. This picture is painted on a large sheet of 300IB weight 'Two Rivers' handmade watercolour paper  with a rough deckled edge using a mixture of watercolour, inks and various added collage such as the vintage Orkney map for the cloudy sky.

The overall size of this framed painting is 950X730mm. It has been framed using a wide white wood bevelled moulding 65mm wide and 40mm deep. I have used perspex instead of glass for the glazing because of the size and weight of the picture, this also makes postage much easier. The actual image size is 770X560mm with a 15mm ivory mount board surround.
