NEW! Original painting/Winter Storm

A large framed  original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This view is of looking towards the island of Copinsay from Dinghieshowe beach in Deerness on a wild winters day. I really like all the textures and colours in this image which were created by using a mix of ink, watercolours and added collage. I have added vintage collage from an Orkney map to represent the clouds in the moody sky above along with lots of intricate drawing of cow parsley which was growing along the shoreline below. This picture is painted on a large sheet of 300IB weight 'Two Rivers' handmade watercolour paper  with a rough deckled edge. 

The overall size of this framed painting is 950X730mm. It has been framed using a wide white wood bevelled moulding 65mm wide and 40mm deep. I have used perspex instead of glass for the glazing because of the size and weight of the picture, this also makes postage much easier. The actual image size is 770X560mm with a 15mm ivory mount board surround.
