Small ceramic tile/Silver Darlings

A glossy ceramic tile printed with an image by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

Silver Darlings is the name for a fish called herring. The nickname came from the way the fish glitter when swimming together in shoals. This acrylic painting is of a shoal of Silver Darlings caught in a fishing net just below the surface of the sea.

This tile is 105X105mm square and 6mm deep with a glossy waterproof surface. It is printed with an image by using a heat press and sublimation process here at my studio. The tile is gift boxed in a white eco friendly box with sliding lid size 135X135mm square and 15mm deep.
