An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This large mixed media image is painted with a mixture of collage and acrylic paint on to heavy watercolour paper. Earlier in the year on a beautiful sunny winters day I visited The Brough of Birsay. I was walking along the shoreline when this tractor and trailer loaded with a creel fishing boat drove down the slipway. It looked like father and son but I am not sure! It was such a gorgeous day and a beautiful scene that I felt I had to capture it forever!

My original painting has been mounted with cream board so that the 'deckled' edge of the paper can be seen. The size of the painted image is 370X520mm with an all round mount size of 70mm. The substantial frame is a wide white wood moulding 40mm deep and 65mm wide. The overall size of this painting is 820X670mm.
