Original painting/Graffiti Art

An original mixed media painting by Orkney artist Jane Glue.

This image is inspired by a wall covered in graffiti. I think graffiti is a brilliant art form in itself and I love to see it on buildings all over the world. This particular graffiti was painted on a very old stone wall of a derelict house. I really like how the background image is broken up by tree branches from an over- hanging tree and a wire fence in the foreground and I have used this format to paint this abstract painting using a mixture of oil pastels and acrylic paint.

The overall size of this painting including the ivory mount and frame is 538X435mm. The actual  image is size 385X275mm, mounted with a 60mm wide ivory mount, and glazed/ framed with a light grey washed 18mm wide wood moulding.
