I used to visit this cottage when I was a child to see Mrs Findlay as my mother had lived next door to her with her parents when she first came here from Glasgow at the age of nineteen. I remember my sister and I used to have to pee in a bucket as there was no toilet! a big shock for us toonies from Kirkwall!
